Additional Information

Oak frame buildings have been a major influence in the UK for hundreds of years. Everything from barns to houses, corn exchanges to churches can be found across the country with the oldest example dating back to the 11th century. You can safely say, green oak frames are highly durable.

Our traditional green oak frames are made in the exact same way as they have been for hundreds of years, mortice and tenon construction with hand made drawn oak pegs to fasten them together. The only difference between the way we make Oak frames to our predecessors is the speed in which we can produce them. Many of the tools have not changed in all this time however the addition of power tools makes the job more efficient.

We can design and build your oak frame building, whether it be a garage, a barn or your dream home, to your exact requirements.

All of our frames are built using sustainably sourced European oak, here in our yard in The forest of Dean before being dismantled and shipped to site anywhere in Europe to be raised in situ. This method makes for the most efficient and cost effective solution for your building, keeping the time on site to a minimum.
